Schedule Your Spot--Taking Clients in May!
I'm glad you found my page. I love my job as a therapist and feel fortunate every day that people and partners allow me the honor of joining them on their various journeys and being witness to their joy and pain. Having been on the client side of the room myself, I understand the courage it takes. So, whether you're an experienced "therapy-goer" or are just beginning your journey, welcome!
Down-to-Earth Healing for the Mind, Body, & Soul
I aim to create a comfortable and relatable space where we can openly explore your challenges while sharing some laughter and tears along the way. I believe in working together, not as an expert dictating solutions, but as a fellow human navigating life's complexities. I take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach toward healing, incorporating various research-backed methods for addressing emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns.
A session with me may include examining thoughts/beliefs that are impacting your current experience, exploring where these may stem from, noticing emotions in your body (increasing your capacity to feel them and allowing them to pass), practicing emotion regulation through grounding/breathwork, being guided through a visualization, engaging in a dialogue with your partner, identifying the role you play in the relationship dynamic, providing psychoeducation on relevant topics, offering gentle feedback on patterns I'm seeing, and identifying, together, next steps to take.
A Space for All
I have an open heart and listening ear for those who have had different lived experiences than my own.
I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds including Pacific Islanders. I've lived in Tonga, speak Tongan, and enjoy studying Pacific Islander cultures. Additionally, being in an interracial marriage myself, I have seen both the beauty and challenges that come from navigating two different cultures and creating space for both partners in a relationship. Because of this, I strive to create a therapeutic space where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
I am also always happy to provide you a list of referrals for therapists that may relate more directly to your lived experience if that is important to you.
Outside of Therapy
I recently moved from Utah to Texas with my husband and two young boys. Although I miss the mountains and our extended family in Utah, I'm thoroughly enjoying our new experience and slower pace of life we've created here. When I'm not seeing clients, I'm finding a new park for my boys, going on walks or playing pickleball with my husband, or enjoying good conversations with friends.
